When Samsung released their Galaxy S back in June, the manufacturer started to show it’s investment in the Android operating system. Until this point Samsung’s range of Android handsets were seriously lacking in the hardware department. With the arrival of the Galaxy S Samsung had a product that held it’s own against the iphone 4 or the HTC Desire.Samsung cemented their support for Android earlier this month with the launch of the first Tablet to seriously rival the ipad. The Galaxy Tab is another device from Samsung to employ Android rather then Samsung’s own Bada OS for it’s operating system. Samsung have predicted 1 million sales of the Galaxy Tab before the end of the year illustrating their faith in the Android OS.

Today Eldar Murtazin (well known for getting his hands on prototypes) tweeted that he is testing the Galaxy 2, most importantly highlighting it’s Dual Core technology. The integration of dual core processors revolutionised the world of both PCs and Apple Macs. Here at mobiles.co.uk we’re hoping that dual core technology will do the same for the world of mobiles.Samsung will be expected to make some big announcements at the Mobile World Congress early next year so expect to see the Galaxy S2 aka the i9100 confirmed there.Any further development’s will be posted right here at the mobiles.co.uk blog.Bookmark at:
